There is a proposal by San Francisco Rec & Parks to put in a 2,000 sq. ft. restaurant at Stow Lake Boat House and move the boat repair shop to the lower parking lot.  The Stow Lake Boat House Coalition states that this plan would destroy the intrinsic nature and historic design of the boat house and they do not believe moving boats is an efficient use of  tax dollars.
 
The Coalition is planning a free family event on Feb. 13th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Stow Lake Boat House.  Kids will have a chance to draw and write letters to let the City know the Coalition does not want a restuarant /cafe to take over the boathouse. FREE to partygoers will be: popcorn, organic coffee and free raffle with great prizes (boat rides, books, etc)!
